Solar Eclipse Ride – Advanced Riders

The event of the summer in Iceland 2026 is the total solar eclipse on August 12th. The eclipse reaches totality between 5:48PM and 5:50PM and what better way to experience it than letting a mighty Viking horse take you to a carefully selected and remote viewpoint in the path of totality in West Iceland? Autumn Thorsmörk Tour

We present here a truly wonderful tour into the fascinating Thorsmörk Nature Reserve. The Thorsmork area is a hiker´s paradise. Riding in this wonderland of nature is pure joy. On our way to Thorsmork, we are reminded of the major volcanic eruptions that occurred in 2010 causing massive disruption to international air traffic. We ride past one of the lava streams that flowed from the mighty glacier-capped volcano with the unpronounceable name, Eyjafjallajökull.
